April 15, 2021 – The U.S. Council for Athletes’ Health (USCAH) has recently added three new staff members to its athletics healthcare consulting group, Dr. James Borchers, USCAH president and CEO, announced Thursday. Alissa Clendenen, Kevin Gorey and Kylie Randall each bring a wealth of experience across their respective areas and a passion for athlete safety and welfare.

“USCAH is committed to bringing in top talent as we expand to meet the needs of our clients and partners,” Borchers said. “I am pleased to have Alissa, Kevin and Kylie on board and know that our entire staff is dedicated to providing unparalleled consultation, training and compliance services across all levels of the sporting world.”

Alissa Clendenen – Senior Associate, Communications and Public Relations
Clendenen has more than 15 years of communications experience within college athletics, higher education and nonprofits. Joining the USCAH staff in April 2021, she guides the overall public relations strategy, serves as the primary media contact and propels design and creative efforts.

Making career stops at Duke University, University of Connecticut, The Ohio State University and Penn State University, Clendenen spent more than a decade in athletics communications with a focus on men’s basketball. Since coming to USCAH in December 2020, his focus is on client recruitment and relations within intramural, club and rec sports, as well as adult social sport organizations.

After 10 years as an athletic trainer at Syracuse University, U.S. Military Academy and Providence College, Gorey transitioned to pharmaceutical sales and led district-wide teams in exceling across field sales, sales training, product marketing and sales management.

Kylie Randall – Associate
With a background in marketing and experience as a Division I student-athlete, Randall assists in all aspects of internal operations and works to elevate the customer experience through the management of USCAH's proprietary education platform Athletics Healthspace. She assists in the production and maintenance of learning modules, manages user-based functions and coordinates updates with the third-party provider.

A 2017 graduate of Ohio State, Randall was a four-year letterwinner on the women’s volleyball team, earning Big Ten Distinguished Scholar, OSU Scholar-Athlete and Academic All-Big Ten honors. Before joining the USCAH staff in December 2020, she spent three years in sales and marketing with an international real estate company.
