Sport & Social Industry Association and U.S. Council for Athletes’ Health Form Unique New Partnership

New partnership provides accessible Athletic healthcare guidance, best practices, and education delivery resources to SSIA Sport & Social Clubs

March 31, 2021 -- The U.S. Council for Athletes’ Health (USCAH) and Sport & Social Industry Association (SSIA) have announced a new partnership, making the SSIA the first social sport association to make this commitment towards strategic, third-party educational support and attention to healthcare and safety. The U.S. Council for Athletes’ Health will offer SSIA and its member clubs access to integrated social sport healthcare consulting, assessment and educational services that will allow members to optimize their healthcare delivery systems.

"Partnering with USCAH will allow adult sports organizers the ability to easily and conveniently train their staff on player safety and health," said Krissy Greenleaf, SSIA Executive Director. "I think this is a great opportunity to provide additional value to our members and set them apart from competitors in their markets."

The SSIA and USCAH partnership is dedicated to the promotion of prioritized wellness through healthcare and safety guidance, collaboration, and resources for SSIA and its member clubs. USCAH’s offering to SSIA and its member clubs includes access to a new, virtual healthcare education and compliance platform developed by sports medicine experts, Athletics Healthspace. Athletics Healthspace was developed by USCAH as a new way to deliver healthcare education through assessments, training, and third-party support. The completion of USCAH-guided educational materials (including customized coursework and testing) allows the SSIA and its member clubs the ability to become USCAH Preferred, a designation identifying sport clubs that demonstrate a strong commitment to athlete healthcare and safety.

“USCAH is excited to partner with the SSIA to promote health and safety programming and initiatives for their member sport clubs and constituents." says James R Borchers, MD MPH, Co- Founder & President at USCAH. “This partnership demonstrates the commitment from the USCAH and the SSIA to prioritize health and safety throughout their membership. We could not be more excited to begin this collaboration and ensure its success into the future.”
